More than $500 Million in Annual Revenues
After more than 50 years of doing business in the Goleta Valley, Raytheon continues to be a strong member of the local business community. Raytheon's business operations in Goleta provide development, design, and production of state-of-the-art government and commercial electronics and electro-optical products. Included among these products are self-protection systems for military aircraft and ships; infrared detectors and subsystems for surveillance, target acquisition, and scientific applications; and space instruments for earth remote sensing and planetary exploration missions. These systems are deployed on a variety of combat vehicles, ships, aircraft, and spacecraft.
In all, the three Raytheon organizations in Goleta -- Vision Systems, Electronic Warfare Systems, and Santa Barbara Remote Sensing -- do business in more than 30 countries around the world, achieve annual revenues typically exceeding $500 million, and maintain an employee population of approximately 1,900.

Electronic Warfare Systems
EWS is a world leader in the design, development and production of electronic warfare (EW) system solutions for strategic and tactical aircraft, helicopters, and surface ships for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and their international counterparts.
For more than 50 years, Raytheon's EW products have earned a worldwide reputation for performance and reliability. Major product lines include towed decoy systems, radar warning receivers, internal and pod jammers, missile warning sensors, and shipboard self-protection systems. New developments include digital receiver technology, fiber-optic decoys, EW systems integration, small ship ESM, and a variety of solutions to defeat the proliferating infrared threat.
With approximately 700 employees, EWS has facilities that comprise 200,000 square feet of office, production, and laboratory space.
Raytheon Vision Systems
Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS), formerly known as Raytheon Infrared Operations, has expanded its charter and technology to encompass a scope of detection capability beyond the infrared. From X-rays to millimeter waves, RVS offers customers a spectrum of solutions to see the otherwise unseen, enabling ever more capable systems for the end-user.
RVS facilities comprise approximately 350,000 square feet of clean room, laboratory, manufacturing, engineering and office space. Currently, RVS employs approximately one thousand dedicated employees.
Santa Barbara Remote Sensing
Established more than three decades ago, SBRS is a leading manufacturer of precision, high reliability, remote sensing instruments for atmospheric, planetary, and land research science applications. Our major product lines include multi-spectral, multi-channel radiometers and spectrometers for space missions, covering the electromagnetic spectrum from the visible to far infrared wavelengths.
SBRS delivers high quality space products through trained, skilled personnel, standard tools and processes, integrated schedules, lean practices, 6 Sigma, DFMA, SFC, MRP, and state-of-the-art facilities and systems.
Our Space Products Operations organization builds the highest quality hardware for use in space programs. Our success record for on-orbit operation is 100 percent, making ours the most reliable space-qualified sensors available worldwide.
SBRS has 270 employees and its facilities comprise 51,000 square feet of office space, with 31,000 square feet of laboratory and assembly space.
